Synchronizing LDAP Users
The LDAP synchronization tool may be invoked manually, automatically, or both.
Automatic Synchronization
Automatic migration must be set up through the LDAP configuration file and be followed by a server restart to invoke the LDAP scheduler. In this configuration it is highly recommended that the configuration specify a report to be generated and emailed to the integrator.
Manual Synchronization
LDAP synchronization can be invoked manually by clicking: System Menu > Utilities > Sync LDAP
Only users whose Role gives them the "Sync LDAP" ability will be able to see this menu option.
Manually syncing is recommending when first configuring LDAP as errors that occur are reported directly to the user interface. Once LDAP is configured and tested, automatic synchronization is recommended.
