New Velocity Template Language Enhancements

Velocity Formats were introduced in Cascade Server 5.7 and since have had numerous improvements to give them functionality nearly as broad as XSLT. Ross Williams, Hannon Hill's Trainer walks users through features such as the Date Tool, which allows users to leverage the capabilities of the Java Date class to perform date math, formatting, and comparisons and the XPath tool, which allows for use of the familiar select and match syntax of XSLT, to quickly drill down into structured data or an Index Block. Other tools discussed include the Sort tool , which adds flexible sorting exceeds XSLT's sorting capabilities. Ross covers all of this, and a few extras to make Velocity usable on a day-to-day basis.
