Setting up File System Transports
Author: David Klanac
A Filesystem transport is used to move content to a local drives’ directory or a network drive. In order for the Filesystem transport to publish to a network drive, the account that Cascade Server uses during start-up needs to have the appropriate permissions to write to the network drive. These permissions are setup on the operating system. Please consult your network administrator for more information.
Creating a New Transport
While in the System area, select the Transports/Filesystem folder and follow these steps:
-
Select Create from the action bar
-
Choose Filesystem from the drop-down menu
-
The next screen is the Filesystem creation menu:
-
Transport Name: Name of transport; used to identify the transport.
-
Server directory: Directory of the local drive or network drive where content will publish
-
Overwrite: checking this box will overwrite similarly named files that exist at the publish location
-
Zip File: checking this box will create a file named ‘site.zip’ which will contain all of the published site’s content in one archive file.
-
-
Select Submit after all of the appropriate values are filled in
Using the Transport
The transport is used by a Destination . Destinations are setup in the Targets area of the system.
