Transports

Transports are the mechanisms that move content from a temporary directory on the server to the final location. Transports can push content out via FTP/SFTP or through a type of file system like a VPN, mapped network drive, shared drive, or mounted drive.

To create a transport:

  1. Click on Administration in the top navigation menu.
  2. Select Transports on the left navigation bar.
  3. Click Filesystem or FTP and SFTP, depending on where you intend to publish to.
  4. Click New Transport.
  5. For Transport Type select the appropriate radio button and click Submit.
  6. On the General pane:
Transport Name - This is the name that the system will use to identify the transport.                                                                  Server Name - This will only appear for FTP/SFTP transports. Type in the name of your production server.                                      Server Port - This will only appear for FTP/SFTP transports. Enter the port number.                                                                 Server Directory - Type in the address where content should be published.                                                                                    User Name / Password - These will only appear for FTP/SFTP transports. Enter the information needed to access the directory.
  7. Click Submit to save the new transport.

To utilize this transport, it must be attached to a destination.
