   <system-data-structure><datetime>1172863800000</datetime><author><path>/</path></author><body-content><p><span>For a lot of our clients, implementing Cascade Server is their first time using XML or XSL.</span>&#160; As a Technical Trainer here at Hannon Hill, I always keep an eye out for resources and tools to make the learning curve a little less steep.<span>&#160;</span> <span><a href="http://www.w3schools.com/"><span>www.w3schools.com</span></a></span><span><span>&#160;</span> offers many XML and XSL tutorials that are free and really easy (dare I say fun?) to use.<span>&#160;</span> <a href="http://www.w3schools.com/">www.w3schools.com</a> is a site run by Refsnes Data, a Norwegian software development and consulting company that saw a need and, from my experience, is doing a great job at filling it.</span></p>
<p><span>One thing I especially like is that each tutorial offers a single example that is carried throughout the entire section, so you really get a sense of context as you&#8217;re moving through the tutorial.</span>&#160;</p>
<p><span>Another big plus is the online quizzes that let you test your skills.</span>&#160; I love being able to take an initial quiz as a benchmark.<span>&#160;&#160;</span> And since you can retake the quiz at any time, you can monitor your improvement and readiness for the next topic.<span>&#160;</span> Each quiz contains about twenty questions, and any wrong answers are displayed at the end &#8211; giving you a chance to identify the areas where you need more help.</p>
<p><span>Although XML and XSL are the languages I get asked about most often, there&#8217;s tons more on offer here - (X)HTML, CSS, Web Services, Javascript, .NET&#8230;. I could go on and on, but you can check it out for yourself.</span>&#160; Thanks, Refsnes Data!</p>
