Recycle Bin & Twitter Connector Announced at 2009 Cascade Server User's Conference

At most software conferences, it would be rare to hear an uproar from attendees reminiscent of a college football game. Yesterday, that's exactly what we heard from the Cascade Server User's Conference attendees. When David Klanac, Chief Operating Officer of Hannon Hill announced the upcoming addition of a recycle bin to Cascade Server, the enthusiasm from Cascade CMS users was evident. The addition of a recycle bin is the most requested item from users on Hannon Hill's Cascade Server Idea Exchange. Hannon Hill has used this idea exchange as a way to promote user feedback on the product and consistently uses this feedback to incorporate user-requested features in Cascade Server releases.

In addition to the announcement of the web content management (WCM) system's new recycle bin, Hannon Hill also announced its surprise addition of a Twitter Connector to the system, which automatically tweets designated content from Cascade.

After establishing an official Twitter hashtag for the Conference (#csuc09), there were over 400 tweets using #csuc09 on day one of the conference. Users were tweeting their feedback on sessions and things they are looking forward to, such as user Winston Churchill-Joell (@wjoell), who tweeted. "many thanks to Hannon Hill for their warm hospitality and a great conference so far #csuc09."
