Only 6 Rooms Left for the '09 Cascade Server User's Conference
Monday, August 3rd, 2009 at 3:30pm -- Morgan GriffithBookmark and Share
We've gotten a great response rate to this year's Cascade Server User's Conference. As demand continues to grow and room numbers continue to dwindle (we have less than 10 left!) we wanted to remind you of some of the important benefits of attending this year's conference. Below, we've outlined the top 10 reasons to attend this year's conference:
- A "new user" session - which will last for two hours on the first day of the conference. This session is geared towards new Cascade users and will be led by our Hannon Hill Trainer, Ross Williams.
- Planning for a redesign - with Wendy Darling, Communications Specialist for Emory University's Health Sciences Center. Wendy will walk us through the steps Emory took in the redesign of it's Woodruff Health and Sciences Center to demonstrate proper project planning, information architecture set-up, and pre-implementation steps that improve the final redesign product.
- A great opportunity to network and collaborate - The Cascade Server User's Conference brings together a variety of Cascade users from a variety of fields and skill-levels. We're bringing back our "Birds of a Feather" session, which will allow users with similar responsibilities and of similar skill-sets to share best practices and ideas.
- Integrating Flash - Louisa Nicholson, Web Designer at Beacon Technologies, will walk our users through using XSLT and XML to more efficiently integrate Flash projects with a Cascade-powered website.
- Web Services - Many of our users have told us in their post-conference surveys that they'd benefit greatly from an in-depth session on using Web Services with Cascade. Trainer Ross Williams will use this session to explore Web Services in more depth and answer any user questions related to Web Services.
- Open House - Our Conference Open House is always a great way to take a break from all the structured learning of the Conference, while still learning informally by engaging in conversation with the Hannon Hill team and other Cascade users. Marked this year by an even better venue (our new penthouse office), and a variety of food and drink, attend this year's conference and get an opportunity to mingle with the largest single group of Cascade Server users you'll find in one place.
- Get Smart about your implementation - with Justin Klingman, Manager of Web Design and Content Management at Beacon Technologies. Justin will walk users through a variety of topics, from integration with 3rd-party applications, to Search Engine Marketing (SEM) efforts, to tips on training end-users.
- SWAG! - This year, our User's Conference SWAG (Stuff We All Get) is better than ever. Without ruining the surprise, I'll just say that there will be lots of fun gear that relates to our conference theme of "ready... set... launch!"
- Get a glimpse into the future -in a "Cascade Server Roadmap" session hosted by Bradley Wagner, Director of Engineering at Hannon Hill. Bradley will discuss future plans for Cascade Server, including the addition of some notable features in upcoming releases.
- Get your questions answered - Finally, we always try to make ourselves as available to Cascade users and their questions as possible. However, if you have a burning question that you'd like to discuss in-person, or have an idea or suggestion that slipped through the cracks, not to worry! The Cascade Server User's Conference brings together a large portion of the Hannon Hill team who will be on-site to answer your questions. So, if you can't get your question answered during one of our informative sessions, we invite you to bring it to our team; we'll all be easily identifiable in our own Hannon Hill polo shirts this year, so locating one of our available team members will be even easier.
