As we look forward to the upcoming final release of Cascade Server 6.4, we wanted to give insight into some of the features you can expect in this feature release.  Cascade Server 6.4 will introduce a framework for a new layer of customization which will be made available through connectors.  These connectors will be the bridge between Cascade Server and other best-of-breed 3rd-party applications.

Just to give you a little insight on how connectors will work, they will be represented as a new asset type within the Administration area of Sites.  This will allow you to work with other applications from inside Cascade Server.

We don't want to give away all the upcoming connectors just yet, but one of the connectors in Cascade Server 6.4 is a WordPress Connector that will allow Cascade content to be synchronized with a WordPress instance.  In plain terms, this connector will allow Cascade users to seamlessly publish WordPress blogs to their sites from inside Cascade.  Because blog functionality continues to be of growing interest to our customer base, many organizations have already been expressing their excitement over this new feature.

Hannon Hill is excited about the WordPress Connector coming in Cascade Server 6.4 but it is by no means the only feature coming in this next release.  Subscribe to our blog to stay up to date about company news and some of the other great features coming up in Cascade Server 6.4.
