Ready...Set...Launch! - 2009 Cascade Server User's Conference

As many of you are probably aware from our last blog post, we are getting low on rooms for the 2009 Cascade Server User's Conference.  In fact, we only have one room left. However, we are in the process of trying to secure more rooms at the conference site. These will be available on a case-by-case basis, so if you still wish to attend the conference and will be needing accommodations, contact Uran Piedra.

In our last blog we also mentioned our conference theme for this year -- "Ready...Set...Launch!"  What we haven't told you yet is why this is the theme.

There are a few reasons why we chose this theme.  The first, and probably the most obvious, is that Cascade Server is used to launch and power websites.  We are committed to creating and improving Cascade Server to give people and organizations the power to manage their web content with ease, which brings me to the next reason we chose this conference theme.

Earlier this year we launched the Cascade Server 6-series.  The 6-series is focused around the notion of Sites, a feature that debuted in 6.0, where users are now able to effectively segment out and manage content and configurations relevant to a particular site. The web content management processes of many of our client organizations, especially those in higher education, can be described as highly decentralized. For these organizations, there is a constant need for an effective way to allow multiple people to manage multiple websites from one system.  Thus, Sites were added to Cascade to provide users with a formal solution to do so.

Additionally, we have several client speakers joining us this year who have recently launched some pretty cool sites using Cascade Server.  Wendy Darling, Communications Specialist for Health Sciences Communications at Emory University will be speaking on how to effectively plan a redesign in her session using the Woodruff Health and Sciences Center website as her example.

And finally, since our last user's conference, we've launched our Cascade Server Customer Success Community.  This community space is designed to bring together our clients and staff in an arena designed for sharing ideas and thoughts and discussing all things related to Cascade Server.

So, we hope you will join us this year as we launch our best conference yet!

See you in Atlanta!
