Using Cascade Server’s Twitter and WordPress Connector
Tuesday, September 14th, 2010 at 3:00pm -- Joel DixonCascade Server is designed with ease-of-use in mind. With almost 140 higher education organizations, we understand that a majority of content management system users are non-technical and need intuitive tools for publishing website content.
Last year we introduced our Cascade Server 6.4 release which included a new Connectors strategy with 3rd-party best-of-breed tools. The first two selected were social media favorite Twitter and blogging powerhouse WordPress. Both connectors are so easy to implement and utilize that “even a caveman can do it!”
The second day of our Cascade Server User Conference included my presentation on “Using our Cascade Server Twitter & WordPress Connectors.” The presentation documented the simple steps included on our Knowledge Base for setting up each connector and included real world examples such as our own usage with our Blog content.
A special guest appearance came via the wonders of remote screen sharing with one of our Canadian clients University of New Brunswick. David Shipley, the senior web content developer, dialed-in using GotoMeeting and walked through the real-world example of UNB’s use of the Cascade Server WordPress connector. A case study on their usage of Cascade Server is also a great read.
If you’re using blogs and connected to Twitter, please consider Cascade Server’s Twitter and WordPress connectors. Also, stay tuned for the new connector tools in upcoming releases.
