Using Cascade Server’s Wordpress & Twitter Connectors

Joel Dixon, Solutions Consultant, Hannon Hill

Hannon Hill’s release of Cascade Server 6.4 introduced a new way of allowing organizations to manage 3rd-party web content within the familiar Cascade interface via a Connector. The first two connector tools are the Wordpress Connector and Twitter Connector.

This presentation will provide an in-depth look at each one of these connectors and how to unlock their potential for the marketing initiatives of your website content.

Topics will include:

  • The “Why” behind utilizing both Wordpress and Twitter for their respective best-of-breed blogging and social media purposes.
  • The “How-to” for setting up both Connectors within your Cascade Server instance and specific applications for utilizing them.
  • Real world examples of how these Connectors are currently being used for managing website content initiatives

One specific use case will include an overview of how the University of New Brunswick employed the Wordpress Connector to design, implement and populate content for their Perspectives e-magazine in less than a week. They are also using the Connector to quickly set-up and deploy numerous departmental blogs.
