Upcoming Cascade Server Feature

We are finalizing a new tool for Cascade Server, which will simplify the integration process. When in the program, select Tools->Integrate Folder from the top navigation bar. Then, you have a page of options whereby you designate which folder in the system you would like to integrate and what existing page you would like to have the new pages based on. The feature will go through the folder and subfolders and convert all .html, .htm, and .asp system files to system pages. It will parse each page and pull out the title, keywords, and description metadata (if they are present) and put them in the page metadata. It will then parse the page and if it can find common similarities among pages in that folder it removes those common regions (assuming those are part of the template and are not needed in the page). The
remaining content is put in with the page and made available in the browser word processor. The end result is considerable time savings when integrating existing content into Cascade Server.

Hannon Hill Blood Drive

Last month the Hannon Hill staff participated in a company blood drive, in order to help combat the recent shortage in the National blood supply. The American Red Cross predicts that every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood, though unfortunately, only 5% of the eligible population actually donates blood. Contact your local Red Cross office for information about donating blood in your area.

Cascade Server Technology Tip

When updating the overall design of your website, a content management system like Cascade Server, allows users to keep the core content of the site separate from templates and blocks. This is beneficial as different groups of users can work on their respective tasks in a parallel workflow process. Business users and web design staff will find the process to be more efficient and that it will save time and hassle keeping a website up-to-date and fresh.
