Several Hannon Hillians had the opportunity to attend the annual Educause Conference in Seattle, Washington. Educause focuses on topics that are relevant to IT specialists in higher education. Valuable information was discussed in panels which covered subjects such as “Tomorrow’s Students: Are we Ready for the new 21st Century Learners,” “Disaster Planning: Maintaining Academic Programs During a Pandemic,” and “The Role of Information Technology in an Age of Access, Affordability, and Accountability.” We were also delighted to chat with many of our clients and prospects and look forward to attending the event again next year.
Hannon Hill is pleased to announce that the latest release candidate for the upcoming Cascade Server 5.0 is now available for immediate download! This newest version of the flagship Cascade Server product has been architected for improved performance with higher numbers of concurrent users. System administrators will also find that the application occupies significantly less system memory than prior versions of the software and is easier to manage including web-based configurations and license keys. Lastly, the new ability to balance the load of user requests to multiple machines will contribute to maintaining consistent system performance for your end users.
The updated timeline for launching the Cascade Server 5.0 GA release is early December.
