In the February 2008 edition of Inc. magazine, Hannon Hill's founder and CEO, David Cummings, was included in their ‘Ask Inc.’ section, a monthly entrepreneur-to-entrepreneur feature that poses small business owners’ best, most engaging questions to experienced entrepreneurs and savvy advisers. Cummings was given the chance to query Sir James Dyson, namesake of the eponymous Dyson line of vacuums, whose Manchester, England based company had sales of over $1 billion in 2007. Cummings asked Dyson:
“My industry is filled with companies larger and better funded than my own. How can I use my small size to my advantage?”
Dyson explains that as a small company, Hannon Hill has many key advantages over companies of a larger size, including “not (being) tied to old-fashioned notions of what (their) industry is and what (they’re) capable of building,” and “the ability to remain flexible and open to new technology.” Additionally, Dyson notes that being a private company enables many of these advantages, and thus is a huge advantage in itself.

We recently completed a case study on Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma’s premier regional center of higher education. Prior to utilizing Cascade Server, SWOSU’s entire website was updated manually, with content posted in multiple places.
