Cascade Server 6.0 Released
At the beginning of this month, Hannon Hill proudly announced the release of Cascade Server 6.0. Despite its April Fool's Day arrival, the most powerful and customizable iteration of Cascade Server yet is no joke. Our Engineering team spent months fine tuning it, and the Beta release produced some terrific feedback from users on our Success Community. Two of the most exciting features in 6.0 are Sites, a brand new component, and Roles, a previously existing component that's been greatly improved and expanded.
Since many of our customers use Cascade to manage more than one website, Sites help users organize and manage content specific to individual sites; this allows organizations to treat the configurations and content of various sites separately while still allowing for some administrative components to be shared across them all. Roles, which are assigned by Administrators, grant users certain permissions and privileges within the system. With the introduction of Sites, users may now be assigned a different Role for each Site. In 6.0, Administrators can also create custom Roles that are expertly matched to the needs of the organization and the user.
With the success of Cascade Server 6.0 under our belt, we look forward to the release of Cascade's next evolution. Read more about Cascade Server 6.0 on our Success Community, and let us know what you think when you drop by!
