2009 Cascade Server User's Conference a Huge Success
We've been giving you updates on it for months and telling you all the great things we had lined up, and just yesterday we wrapped up our fourth annual Cascade Server User's Conference. During the two-day conference we had several client speakers share their implementation and unique uses of Cascade Server and Hannon Hill staff diving into the new and old features of our CMS product. Monday morning started off with a bang with an unveiling of the new prototype for a Recycle Bin by Hannon Hill COO David Klanac, which caused a huge (and very audible) reaction from attendees in our Cascade Server Roadmap session. The addition of a Recycle Bin is the most requested item from users on Hannon Hill's Cascade Server Idea Exchange. The first day of the conference was also marked by over 400 tweets using the official conference hashtag (#csuc09).
Another highlight of the conference was the surprise announcement of the Twitter Connector included in the Cascade Server 6.4 release. Overall, the conference was a huge success with over 110 Cascade Server users in attendance. We have already received lots of great feedback that we will use to even further improve the conference experience for 2010. Thanks to everyone who attended for making this year's conference the best yet.
Look out for Cascade Server 6.4 Final Release Next Month
We've released two versions of the Cascade Server 6.4 beta thus far, and the final release is slated for October. Cascade 6.4 is the first major release from Hannon Hill debuting the new Connector strategy, which was developed to seamlessly tie Cascade Server to widely used 3rd-party applications. In the first Connector-oriented release, Cascade features a WordPress Connector, for streamlined management of organizational blogs from Cascade Server. Also featured in Cascade 6.4 is the surprise inclusion of a Twitter Connector, which automatically tweets designated content of a particular Content Type to Twitter from Cascade. The release of Cascade Server 6.4 also includes some bonus features, such as an edit-area syntax highlighter and drag and drop Data Definition Builder. Download the 6.4 beta now and test it out, and be looking out for the final release of Cascade Server 6.4 next month!
