Hannon Hill To Migrate its Own Site Live
Following the success of our recent Cascade Server 6.4 Webinar, we received overwhelming feedback from our customers and prospects to continue offering webinars on specific Cascade Server features and functionality. We heard you! For our next webinar, we've lined up something that we hope will help our users to better understand a major feature that debuted in Cascade Server 6.0 -- the new Sites content model. While some of our clients have already migrated into Sites, many are hesitant to take the leap and are still operating from the Global Area.So to encourage more clients to move into Sites and alleviate any apprehension, we're going to demonstrate a live migration of our own website. Yep, that's right! Join us in our next webinar on Tuesday February 2, 2010 at 2PM EST and watch as Services Trainer Ross Williams migrates our own website for the first time into its own Site in Cascade Server. We hope to see you there!
Keys to Project Implementation Success
Several weeks ago, our Services Manager, Kat Liendgens began putting together a multi-part blog series dedicated to exploring the keys to web content management (WCM) implementation success. In her most recent contribution to the series, she discusses the importance of correctly timing the start of the QuickStart package and training. Once your project has been successfully outlined, you've done the appropriate requirements gathering, and you are prepared to move your site into the content management system, you are ready to begin the QuickStart process. While it might seem inconsequential as to when you train your users on Cascade Server, the timing of this crucial step plays a major role in project success. Making sure your technical users are adequately trained before beginning the project will ensure that your developers are comfortable enough with the system to jump in and begin working on portions of the site right after the project.
