Hannon Hill Signs 100th Client in Higher Education

ATLANTA, GA - December 10, 2008 -- Hannon Hill Corporation, makers of award-winning web content management solutions, announced today that it has signed its 100th client in the higher education industry, Christopher Newport University. CNU joins the other 99 colleges and universities, both domestic and international, that are currently utilizing Hannon Hill's flagship enterprise CMS, Cascade Server, to manage their institutional web sites.

The addition of Christopher Newport University to Hannon Hill's client roster not only marks the 100th institution of higher education to utilize Cascade Server, but also demonstrates the state of the higher education industry. As Blaine Herman, Director of Strategic Accounts at Hannon Hill notes, "The signing of CNU is telling of the overall atmosphere of both the higher education and web content management industries. We're seeing that many institutions are realizing the importance of maintaining their web sites with ease and empowering users to manage their own content."

Yet in a complex web content management market, the benefits available with each vendor and system are not always clear to prospective CMS users. Herman continues, "Every system has its positives and negatives; with Cascade, the key benefits our users experience are the ability to maintain site accessibility, simple templating to achieve a consistent look across pages and departments, intuitive system administrator site management and end-user content contributions, and the fact that our system is both PC and Mac friendly." While other CMS vendors are concerned with beefing-up already complex products, Hannon Hill is striving to streamline the overall user experience with Cascade Server.

"We try to make it easy for organizations looking for a content management solution. We're clear about what we offer, what Cascade Server can and cannot do, and I think for organizations like universities, where making a decision is a mutually involved decision, that's appreciated," notes Herman. "I'd also attribute much of our success in the higher-ed realm to our dedicated staff and support team. We're not as big as a few of the vendors out there, but our support team makes it their mission to truly satisfy our customers, not just provide the most convenient resolution."

Hannon Hill's differentiation strategy has clearly had an impact. Since just March of this year, they have brought on over 35 new university and college clients. Now, with a substantial portion of their current client base made up by 100 colleges and universities, Cascade Server has proven to be the predominant CMS of choice for institutions of higher education.
