Hannon Hill Releases Cascade Server 6.7
ATLANTA, GA - June 29, 2010 -- Hannon Hill Corporation has released the most recent version of the company's content management system, Cascade Server 6.7.
Cascade Server 6.7, which was released in beta in early April, introduces several new major features and incorporates user feedback from the beta testing period. Included in the final release of 6.7 is a Recycle Bin, which allows users to restore recently deleted assets. Cross-Site move/copy, which enables users to move and copy assets across Sites, has also been incorporated in 6.7.
With the introduction of Sites in Cascade Server 6.0 and template sharing and cross-site linking in 6.2, the Cross-Site move/copy feature in 6.7 adds yet another enhancement to Cascade Server's Site functionality and further solidifies multi-Site management model by allowing users to organize/re-organize their content. Additionally, Cascade Server 6.7 provides content reuse enhancements in the form of Data Definition Blocks, which allow for structured entry of content in blocks.
This latest release also introduces support for Java 6, SQL Server 2008 and Google Chrome, an upgraded WYSIWYG with better support for copy/paste from Word and more consistency between the various browsers, updates to the publishing framework for better compatibility with FTP and SFTP servers and numerous UI enhancements. For a full description of all features and enhancements, see the release notes.
