Requirements

Cascade Server is a centrally-managed web-based application available to all users via a network connection.  Cascade Server is designed to create standards-compliant web content available to site visitors across all browsers and platforms.

CMS Server

  • CPU: 
    • Dual-core Pentium / AMD Athlon (minimum)
    • Quad-core (recommended)
    • NOTE: Cascade can be run in virtualized environments like VMware and Hyper-V
  • Memory for Cascade Server application:
    • 4 GB RAM (minimum)
    • 8 GB RAM (recommended)
  • Hard Drive space available:
    • 10 GB (minimum)
    • 20 GB (recommended)
  • Operating System:
    • Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2008 R2
    • Mac OS X Server (10.4+)
    • Linux (32-bit or 64-bit). 64-bit is recommended
    • Solaris
  • Oracle Java 6 JRE (32-bit or 64-bit)
    • Note: OpenJDK and other distributions of Java are not supported

CMS Database

  • MySQL 5.0 / 5.1 / 5.5
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 / 2008 / 2008 R2
  • Oracle 10g / 11g
  • Memory for database server:
    • 2 GB RAM (minimum)
    • 4 GB RAM (recommended)

Destination Web Server

  • Apache
  • Microsoft IIS
  • nginx
  • Sun Java System Web Server (formerly Netscape Enterprise Server)
  • Zeus Web Server
  • Note: Anything you can publish to via (S)FTP or a locally available directory is supported
