“Every nation must now develop an overriding loyalty to mankind as a whole in order to preserve the best in their individual societies. This call for a worldwide fellowship that lifts neighborly concern beyond one's tribe, race, class, and nation is in reality a call for an all-embracing and unconditional love for all mankind…” - Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr.’s words and beliefs resound as deeply today as they did in 1967, if not more. In the spirit of the "MLK Day of Service", our team chose to spend MLK Day volunteering with our neighbors to help make our community a bit brighter. One of our values at Hannon Hill is team over self, so having the opportunity every quarter to take that to the next level and put our community first is rewarding and truly helps us embody our values.
Making a Difference:
Along with 500 other volunteers, the Hannon Hill team cleaned signs, picked up trash, and planted 8,000 daffodils and 72 trees at Brook Run Park.
As always, it was a great opportunity to give back while spending quality time as a team -- despite the very cold weather! Here are some pictures taken during the event:
