Join us in the state capital of Texas for two days of technical training with Cascade CMS Developers, Engineers, and Trainers. This is a unique opportunity to learn hands-on from the people that built the product and work in the app on a daily basis. There’s no one better to learn from or gain best-practice techniques to improve your Cascade CMS implementation.

Where You’ll Be

For the first Cascade CMS Regional Training Conference, we’re heading to Capital Factory in Austin, Texas, a vibrant city defined by live music, cuisine, culture, and beautiful scenery. It’s a place beaming with personality, and we can’t wait to experience it with you.

Capital Factory is affectionately referred to as the center of gravity for entrepreneurs in Texas. Last year more than 125,000 entrepreneurs, programmers, and designers gathered day and night, in-person, and online for meetups, classes, and coworking. It’s a unique and inspiring coworking place in the heart of downtown Austin.

What You’ll Learn

With two tracks to choose from, you’ll hear content that’s aligned with your current skill set and needs.

Track One - Advanced Velocity & Web Services

On day one, a Hannon Hill team member will cover advanced Velocity tools and tactics. Topics will include when and how to use the Query tool, string replacements, arrays, node structure versus objects, and Velocity best practices.  On day two, we will utilize PHP to introduce users to the Cascade CMS web services API.

Track Two - Cascade CMS Boot Camp (System Administrator Training)

Track Two is for developers and system administrators who never went through formal training with the Hannon Hill team. It’s also for long-term users who need a refresher on best practices. You will learn how to manage Users and Groups, create content, and approve change through Workflow. Then, you will build on that knowledge and learn how to integrate the fundamental assets needed to take full advantage of the product.

What to Expect

Two days of workshop-like sessions will run from 9:00am - 5:00pm on Tuesday, September 24  and Wednesday, September 25. We will provide breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks, and sufficient break time.

In addition to the two days of hands-on learning with our team, you’ll have plenty of time to network with colleagues and have fun. We will host a social event on the evening of September 24. We’ll share drinks, food, and conversation in a more laid-back setting.

If you need hotel accommodations, we recommend staying at Omni Austin Hotel Downtown. It is attached to Capital Factory, so you won’t find anything more convenient.

If you are renting a car or driving in for the day, Capital Factory’s website has detailed parking information, pricing, and helpful tips.
