# How do I enable DEBUG logging?

> Add a logging category or class at DEBUG level from the Logging Configuration tool, and reset it once you've collected what you need.

Additional logging can be enabled for the application:

1. Click **Administration**.
1. In the **Tools** section, click [Logging Configuration](https://www.hannonhill.com/cascadecms/latest/articles/cascade-administration/administration-tools/logging-configuration.html).
1. Choose a category from the dropdown, or enter a class name in the text field — for example `com.hannonhill.cascade.aspect.ServiceAspectLogger`. Class names are normally provided by Hannon Hill Product Support.
1. Change the next dropdown to **DEBUG**.
1. Click **Add Category**.

> **Reset it when you're done**

> DEBUG logging can be extremely verbose. Once you've collected what you need, return to **Logging Configuration** and click **Reset to Default** at the top right.
