Organizations using MySQL may see an error message similar to the following when attempting to login to the system:

This typically occurs immediately after an upgrade has been performed. In most cases, the problem can be attributed to anti-virus software running on the application server.

It is recommended that any on-access scanning be temporarily disabled so that MySQL is able to write files to the directory specified in the error message.
