# Updating the license key

## Overview

1. Go to **Administration >** **Product License**.
1. Enter the license key code into the **License Text field** - or - browse to the license file by clicking the **Choose File** button.
1. Click **Submit**.

> **Note**
>
> License keys are valid immediately upon receiving them and you can plug them in at any time before your existing license key expires. Updating the license key does not require a system restart.
