Under rare circumstances, a page using an Index Block may show outdated information. This can be a sign that the Index Block Rendering Cache doesn't hold the most recent data for certain assets.

In most cases, discarding the cache resolves it, forcing the system to rebuild from the most recent data for all assets:

1. Click **Menu → Administration → Preferences**.
1. Click the **Content** tab.
1. Scroll to **Index Block Rendering Cache** and uncheck **Enabled**.
1. Click **Submit**.
1. Immediately return to the **Content** tab, scroll back to **Index Block Rendering Cache**, and check **Enabled**.
1. Click **Submit**.

> These steps rebuild the cache from scratch. Initial page renders are slower than usual as assets are added back to the cache when viewed; subsequent renders are fast again.
