# Inserting a video

> Add a video to page content with the Insert/edit media dialog, using either a direct URL or embed code from the hosting service.

To include a video in your page content:

1. Place your cursor in the editor where you want the video inserted.
1. Click the **Insert/edit media** icon.

The dialog offers a few tabs, and which one you use depends on what the video host gave you.

## From a direct URL

If you have a direct URL to the video, Cascade wraps it in an iframe for you:

1. Under the **General** tab, paste your video URL into the **Source** field.
1. Optionally change the width and height, in pixels, using the **Dimensions** fields.
1. Click **Ok**.

## From embed code

1. Switch to the **Embed** tab.
1. Paste your embed code into the text area.
1. Click **Ok**.
