## Overview

This trigger assigns the following step (the step that will occur as a result of this action) to the [content owner](https://www.hannonhill.com/cascadecms/latest/articles/content-management/reports/content-ownership-report.html) of the asset in workflow. This can be used to create a workflow that dynamically assigns a step, such as an approval step, to the content owner of the asset in workflow as opposed to a [specific group](https://www.hannonhill.com/cascadecms/latest/articles/content-management/workflows/workflow-triggers/assign-to-specified-group-trigger.html) or [group with write access](https://www.hannonhill.com/cascadecms/latest/articles/content-management/workflows/workflow-triggers/assign-to-group-owning-asset-trigger.html) to the asset's parent folder (in case you have multiple).
