What is a Hannon Hill POP?

As you may know, there are many ways in which our customers have direct input into Cascade CMS. For instance, you can use the Idea Exchange to submit new feature ideas or recommendations for product enhancements. You can also cast votes for other customers’ ideas and suggestions. In addition, Lauren Murray, our Client Advocate, and I hold one-on-one feedback sessions with customers every quarter. During our annual Cascade User Conference we host focus groups on a variety of topics, which are a great opportunity to provide input on longer-term items on the product roadmap. Of course, we also receive feedback from you in everyday interactions, such as requirements gathering sessions, support tickets, and other exchanges and collaborations with our support, professional services teams, and product engineers.

Another avenue in which you can amplify your input into the product is to become a Product Opinion Provider (affectionately named POP). A POP is a customer who volunteers to be a go-to contact for feedback on new ideas, mock-ups, prototypes, or for beta-testing on an ad-hoc basis. You can either volunteer to be a POP on a specific feature-set or topic, such as the new User Interface, or to be a general POP. The Hannon Hill team loves to collaborate with you, our customers, in order to to provide you with the best CMS. So get your hands on new features more quickly and have even more influence into the product!

Here are some frequently asked questions about POPs.

How do I become a POP?

Simply send an email to our new Client Advocate, Lauren Murray. Indicate any specific areas of interest as well as your role at your organization, your level of technical expertise, and the amount of time per year that you’d be willing to commit.

Do I need to be a technical Cascade CMS user in order to become a POP?

It depends on the types of features on which you would like to provide feedback. If you’re a non-technical content contributor, we would love to talk to you about how you use the system and show you some of the exciting new end user features that are on the near horizon for Cascade CMS.

How much of a time commitment is involved?

That’s completely up to you. If you choose to be a POP for a specific feature or group of features, it depends on its complexity and the amount of time that you have available to invest. It could be as little as a couple of short screen-sharing sessions or a more elaborate collaboration. If you’re willing and able to be our go to person for feedback on anything Cascade CMS-related, you can be one of our POP Stars. That doesn’t mean that you’re at our beck and call. We’ll be sure to work with your schedule and at your convenience.

What are the requirements for becoming a POP?

If you feel passionate about content management and content strategy and consider yourself a good communicator of you and your stakeholders’ needs, we’d love for you to consider becoming a POP. If your schedule is erratic to the point that you can never be sure whether you’ll be able to make it to a meeting, understandably, you may prefer other avenues, such as the Idea Exchange, in order to provide input into Cascade CMS.
