Why can't my user upload images in the WYSIWYG or file chooser?
If your users don't see the Upload tab when inserting images in the WYSIWYG or browsing in a file chooser, they're missing Site Role abilities. Uploading files through the file chooser requires:
- Upload: Upload images in file chooser
- Workflow: Bypass workflow — on versions before 8.22, see below
As of Cascade CMS v8.22, Bypass workflow is no longer required to upload images in file choosers. The folder being uploaded into must not require Workflow.
If you don't want a user to be able to bypass workflow, they'll need to upload files ahead of time using an Asset Factory, then browse for them in the file chooser.
