Discarding the Index Block Rendering Cache

Under rare circumstances, a page using an Index Block may show outdated information. This can be a sign that the Index Block Rendering Cache doesn't hold the most recent data for certain assets.

In most cases, discarding the cache resolves it, forcing the system to rebuild from the most recent data for all assets:

  1. Click Menu → Administration → Preferences.
  2. Click the Content tab.
  3. Scroll to Index Block Rendering Cache and uncheck Enabled.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. Immediately return to the Content tab, scroll back to Index Block Rendering Cache, and check Enabled.
  6. Click Submit.

These steps rebuild the cache from scratch. Initial page renders are slower than usual as assets are added back to the cache when viewed; subsequent renders are fast again.
