Adding header cells to a table

To add header cells to a table along with a scope attribute:

  1. Right-click in the cell you want to make a header cell.
  2. In the pop-up menu, select Cell → Cell Properties.
  3. In the Cell type field, select Header cell.
  4. Use the Scope field to set the scope. Options are None, Row, Column, Row group, and Column group.

Scope is what lets a screen reader connect a data cell to its header. For how to structure an accessible table end to end, see the WYSIWYG guide.
