April 2023 Work Anniversary

In the month of April, we're proud to celebrate the work anniversaries of the following two Hannon Hill team members:

Rebecca Crow

Rebecca Crow joined Hannon Hill in 2019 as a web developer on the Professional Services team.

Prior to joining Hannon Hill, she worked as an IT consultant working with Fortune 500 corporations on the planning, analysis, and implementation of major technology and business transformation initiatives.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University in Organizational Leadership, with a minor in Computer Information Systems, and her MBA with a concentration in Computer and Information Sciences from Colorado State University.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys the outdoors, playing with her dogs Remy and Jamison, learning new skills, playing VR, and a good margarita or two.

When we asked Rebecca what her favorite thing about working at Hannon Hill was, she said:

My favorite things about working at Hannon Hill are my fantastic coworkers, the ability to work on challenging and varying projects, and finding innovative solutions for our customers.

When you work with passionate and skilled people, it’s easy to be motivated and learn from one another. Being part of a team that values open communication and a positive work environment has made my job very enjoyable.

I am someone who also enjoys learning and tackling new problems. Being able to work on a variety of web development projects keeps me engaged and allows me to expand my skill set and stay sharp.

What was Rebecca's biggest achievement since joining Hannon Hill?

My biggest achievements have been in helping our customers reach their objectives and exceed their overall business goals through our software.

This ranges from implementing complex multi-phase/site projects on time and within budget to as simple as making sure our customers are comfortable and knowledgeable with our software on a day-to-day basis.

What does Rebecca look forward to in the future with Hannon Hill? 

I look forward to the opportunity to work with new clients and projects as well as new software features that can help our customers further achieve their goals.

I am excited to be part of a company that is committed to continuous innovation and improvement.

Matt Shirey

Matt Shirey joined Hannon Hill in 2021 as a web developer on the Professional Services team.

Prior to Hannon Hill, he worked in higher education for nine years as Webmaster for Midwestern State University and used Cascade for six years while at the university.

He graduated from Midwestern State University with a degree in Business Computer Information Systems in 2007. Matt is married and lives in Texas with two boys, a dog, and cat.

When we asked Matt what his favorite thing about working at Hannon Hill was, he said:

I can't pick just one thing. I would say, my coworkers. Since I'm a fully remote employee, I can't just hop over to someone's desk to ask a question or bounce an idea off someone. But when I send someone a Slack message, they go above and beyond to help me. The immediate response time reminds me of the great treatment I received when I was still a Cascade client before switching jobs to join Hannon Hill.

What was Matt's biggest achievement since joining Hannon Hill?

I recently had the opportunity to develop a cost calculator for a client that allowed anyone to update the different values used to calculate the estimated cost of attendance for a single semester for both fall and spring. What does Matt look forward to in the future with Hannon Hill?

We're such an innovative company, and our product team constantly works on improving our content management system. I can't wait to see what our product team comes up with for our next version of Cascade and any new modules we create for the CMS.

Rebecca and Matt are integral parts of our organization's future success, and we are proud to have both on our team.
