What do you do at Hannon Hill?

I am an account executive responsible for helping our clients optimize their web strategy by providing a content management system that delivers a personalized and powerful user experiences.

Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you joined the company?

I've always been passionate about technology for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was the only one in my household who knew how to set up our home network, and I ended up being technical support for all my family members walking them through how to do certain things.

For me, excelling at SaaS sales comes naturally. Before joining Hannon Hill, I worked as a National Account Manager at a multinational internet service provider during the pandemic.

I wanted a new challenge and saw the opportunity to join the team at Hannon Hill. It has been the challenge I was looking for and very rewarding. It's a great place to work, and the fantastic team I work with is the cherry on top.

What are you most proud of in your career so far?

I am proud of the long-standing relationships I have developed with some of my clients over the years.

We've been a part of each other's lives through job changes, the birth of our kids, and many birthdays.

Some became repeat clients as well. I love that I get to meet so many incredible people as part of my job.

What do you think makes you unique as a team member?

I have great memories growing up in Jamaica, which is a core part of who I am. I bring an island flavor, authenticity and sincerity to every conversation that I believe resonates with people in a positive way.

What skills or qualities do you think are most important for success in your role?

I've been in sales for just over a decade, where I have been fortunate enough to gain valuable experience and skills that have helped me in achieving success.

I like that every day is a little different, which keeps me on my toes. I believe that integrity, optimism, and an intrinsic drive to help our partners achieve their goals are most important for success. 

Equally important is being a great communicator, ensuring that all stakeholders throughout the sales process are on the same page.

What motivates you?

I am motivated by helping others achieve their goals, especially when it takes me out of my comfort zone. That's when I grow the most.

Personal development is also something that motivates me because I want to change and better myself both personally and professionally.

Employee Spotlight - Craig Walters - Mexico

What has been your most memorable vacation spot or what place would you like to visit one day? 

One of the most memorable vacation spots I've visited with my family was Chichén Itzá, Yucatán, in Mexico. It was a surreal experience because I am fascinated by ancient history.

I plan on visiting all the ancient sites of the world someday.

What do you do for fun?

There is nothing quite like live music for me. I enjoy attending live concerts with world-renowned musicians or listening to a local artist playing their acoustic guitar. That will do it for me on the weekends.

What's your favorite quote and why?

"You don't get results by focusing on results. You get results by focusing on the actions that produce results" - Mike Hawkins. 

This is a favorite quote of mine because in my life, these words have helped me focus my effort on the things that are within my control that bring me closer to achieving the goals that I have set out for myself.
