  • Does it make accessibility easier to maintain?
  • Can it support governance across hundreds of contributors?

Will it improve our team's productivity?

  • Does it reduce duplicate work?
  • Does it simplify content maintenance?
  • Does it help contributors make better decisions?
  • Can a small web team effectively support a large, decentralized institution?

Will it improve the visitor experience?

  • Can it support personalization?
  • Does it encourage consistent user experiences?
  • Can it adapt to different audiences without creating unnecessary complexity?

Will it prepare us for the future?

  • Can it adapt to changing search behavior?
  • Does it support structured content?
  • Will it integrate with the systems we rely on?
  • Is the platform evolving alongside the changing digital landscape?

These questions focus the evaluation on what matters most: institutional outcomes, not individual features.

Technology Should Reduce Complexity
