Bulk Change
Digest
Concept
The Bulk Change Wizard is accessible to administrators by default, but this can be customized within user roles. The wizard allows one to manipulate large groups of assets (i.e. pages, files, folders, etc.) by changing the Configuration Sets, Metadata Sets and/or Content Types associated with those assets. Using the Bulk Change Wizard to apply a Content Type to a group of pages, for example, will apply that Content Type to any and all pages selected for the Bulk Change. However, because Content Types formally aggregate a page's Configuration Set and Metadata Set, bulk changing a Configuration Set or Metadata Set will only affect pages without Content Types assigned. In addition, if using the Cascade Server Firefox Extension, once a user has selected the desired assets to which to apply the Bulk Change, he or she can simply right-click within the asset list to access the Bulk Change menu.
