Creating a Calendar
Calendars are efficient and effective ways to document, organize and schedule events within an organization. This task can be achieved within Cascade Server with these simple steps:
- Make a Template for your pages, or use an existing one of your choice.
- Make Configuration Sets for the five different types of pages within the Calendar:
- Index pages
- Event View pages
- Month View pages
- Category pages
- Event pages
These Configuration Sets will reflect the different DEFAULT region assignments (blocks and stylesheets) for the different pages. - Create a Folder Structure.
- After the completion of these steps, as well as the creation of the individual pages within their respective folders, an Asset Factory for the year folder should be created so that only the system name, display, name and keywords need to be changed to reflect a new year.
- Create a Asset Factory for the Event Pages that places newly created Events within the Events Folder.
- Add content to your calendar.
