Configuring LDAP/Active Directory Authentication
Configuration File Details
The LDAP configuration is stored as XML in the database. It specifies the server to connect to and policies for the users and groups that should be imported into Cascade and mapped to Users, Groups, and Roles.
Set LDAP Users to Use Normal or Custom Authentication
Users' information can be imported via LDAP but the users can be set to set authenticate either using "normal" or "custom" authentication instead of LDAP authentication.
Synchronizing LDAP Users
Users can by synchronized from the LDAP server to Cascade either manually or on a schedule.
LDAP Binding with Clear Text or SSL
Cascade can optionally bind to the LDAP server using clear-text or SSL.
