System/Interface links and menus

Upon logging into Cascade Server and when in the system, there will consistently be a tool bar of menus and system links at the top of the user interface. These menus and links provide access to particular areas and/or tools of the system.

If you have one or more Sites, a Site-chooser drop-down will be displayed at the top of the interface, allowing you to easily jump between the Global Area and content specific to the context of a particular site:

Starting from left-to-right, we'll go into detail about each of these Cascade system menus.
System Menu

The system menu contains system wide search, configurations, utilities, and preferences, as is shown below:

New Menu

The New menu allows you to access and create default assets such as a new file, folder, page, or block.
Tools Menu

By clicking on the Tools menu, you can access the option to import files or sites, integrate a folder, or make a bulk change.
Help Menu

The Help menu provides version information as well as links to the Cascade Server Forum and Knowledge Base.
Additional System Links available in the Interface
Home
Clicking 'Home' will take you back to the Dashboard home area.
History
Clicking on the History link in the upper menu bar will allow you to view and quickly navigate to all of your recently viewed assets.
Administration
Clicking on the Administration area will allow you to view and edit all of the administrative Components of the system. Components serve many purposes including facilitating creation of content, managing and publishing content, and management of system users.
