Macomb Community College preferred to have Hannon Hill’s Professional Services team handle every aspect of the implementation of their three websites. The project scope included integrating Macomb Community College’s new website design into Cascade CMS and to build-out all of the required page types. Part one, the implementation of the main website, http://www.macomb.edu/, was completed as part of our discounted QuickStart Package.
The scope for the integration of Macomb Community College's main website included the build-out of the home page (including content reuse for current events and news), a top section interior page, standard interior place, news section (news article, news listings page, news RSS feed, and yearly archive section. In addition, the team integrated an RSS feed to pull content from ActiveData, the third party calendaring tool used by the College, in order to display news on the home page and the landing pages. Other third party integration included a calendar widget, which also pulls data from the ActiveData calendar tool, and the ability to embed Live Chat widgets.
There was also a Custom Google Map integration that allowed the users to input coordinates, custom icons, and tab content for points of interest that includes picture and video options. The map integration also included a custom toggle for displaying the different categories.
This project was completed on time and on budget.
