Leads

View a Lead's Activity:

  1. To view a lead’s activities, click on the Leads & Visitors link, and then on the Leads link. All of your Leads are displayed in the leads table, which also shows you some of your Leads’ actions, such as the last activity and the number of page views.
  2. To view details about a specific Lead, click on the Lead’s name. You will be taken to the lead screen, which shows you all activities, sessions, and page views.
  3. To search for a specific Lead, type their name or part of their name into the “Filter” field and press “return” on your keyboard.

Update or Delete a Lead:

  1. To update or delete an existing Lead, click on the Leads & Visitors tab on the left and then on the Leads link. All of your Leads are displayed in the Leads table. Note that you can sort the Leads table by clicking on the column names. . You can also search for a Lead by entering the name into the Filter text field and hitting “return” on your keyboard.
  2. Once you have found the right Lead, click on the “Edit” link in the Actions column. You will see an overview of your Lead’s actions.
  3. Next, click “Edit Lead”. The Edit section will appear.
  4. Update the Leads information as needed and click “Save Changes”.
  5. To delete a Lead, click on the “Delete” link in the Actions column. A prompt will ask you to confirm that you want to delete the Lead. Click “Yes” to proceed with the deletion.

Create a New Lead Manually:

Spectate creates leads automatically whenever a Visitor fills out a form on your site. However, you can also manually create a Lead.

  1. Click on the Leads & Visitors tab on the left and click on the Leads link. You will see all of your existing Leads in the Leads table.
  2. To create a new Lead, click on the “+Create Lead” link on the right, above the Leads table. The Create Lead screen will appear.
  3. Enter your Lead’s email address (which is the only required field), as well as any additional information that you have.
  4. To associate a Lead with one or more Campaigns, click “+Add Campaign” and select the Campaign from the drop-down box. You can enter even more specific data about your lead, such as annual revenue or industry, by clicking on the “More Options”.
  5. Once you have entered all of the information that you have available, click “Create” to finish creating your Lead.

Associate a Lead with a Campaign:

  1. In order to associate a Lead with one or more Campaigns, click on the Leads & Visitors tab on the left and then on the Leads link. All of your leads are displayed in the Leads table. Note that you can sort the Leads table by clicking on the column names. You can also search for a lead by entering the name into the Filter text field and hitting “return” on your keyboard.
  2. Once you have found the right Lead, click on the “Edit” link in the Actions column. The Edit section will appear, and here you will see an overview of your Lead’s information including one or more drop-down lists specifying the selected Campaigns.
  3. To add a Campaign, just click “+Add Campaign” and select a value from the drop-down box”.
  4. Once you’re done, click “Save Changes”.

View Lead Sources:

Spectate provides you with a report showing your lead sources, which lets you understand the effectiveness of your campaigns.

  1. To view your lead sources, click on the "Reports" tab, and select "Lead Sources", which will display the lead sources table.
  2. You can sort the report by clicking on the header of the column by which you want to sort.
